Inspired by the idea of minimal living and spending more time in the great outdoors, Wild Roots was born to provide a relaxing, unique, and affordable experience for those looking to unplug with friends or celebrate a big occasion. The goal was to create a space where people can lean into a type of fun that is pure, lighthearted, and deeply impactful, and ensure that guests go home feeling more alive and refreshed, with a few good stories, and a couple of new friends.

Based in Lockhart, TX, owners Joe and Mona came to XPLR Studios to create a brand that felt unique, down-to-earth, and had an '“elevated Western” vibe to it. The Wild Roots brand identity combines grace with grit through typography that feels modern but rustic. The color palette pays homage to the landscape they want their brand to celebrate, with tones being pulled from the grass and the dirt their visitors get to play on. We injected life, love, and little personal flair into the brand through custom illustrations that represent everything their property has to offer.
