Hiya! I’m Emily, Founder and Creative Lead here at XPLR Studios. I’m obsessed with helping adventurous business owners realize their creative potential through wild branding and design, and I’d love to help you next.
As a New Englander born and raised, I spent a lot of time outside as a kid. But it wasn’t until I visited Colorado during college that things took a turn. While on a hike, I had one of those moments – you know the ones – where you realize nothing will ever be the same.
Soaking up that alpine sunshine, Colorado took root in my mind. A year later, I loaded up my car and headed west. Leaving Boston for the Rockies, my sights were set on bigger adventures, deeper snow, and colder beers.
Those first few trips out west, and every adventure I’ve had since, inspired my early illustration and design style. Now, I allow that adventurous spirit and outdoorsy aesthetic to guide my work with clients.
My years of collective experience at full-service agencies across the country, while incredibly valuable, all led me back to the realization that corporate life just wasn’t for me. So, in 2020, I said see ya later to staring at the same white walls every day, and said hello to working with business owners who hold the same values and stoke for life as I do.
I believe the unexamined life is not worth living. It’s why I partner with rule-breakers, system-shakers, and dream-makers to impact change through trailblazing design. So what do ya say - are you ready to start?

XPLR Studios is a one-woman show, and I prefer to keep it that way. Here’s the deal. Big-name agencies will claim they can create a stellar brand faster and at the same expert level. But the end product will lack the attention to detail, emotional layers, and small human touches that make all the difference.
Your branding is one of the most intimate aspects of your business. When you choose to work with me for your branding and design needs, I’ll be your one and only partner and trusted confidant during our time together.
